VIDEO: ‘Stay’ – Jireh Calo

Like nostalgia in a bubble wrap, the video for Jireh Calo’s ‘Stay’, off her self-titled EP (available on Bandcamp), is a motion picture revolving around the aesthetics of lomography and 8mm film, with Jireh herself sauntering along the streets of Manila and on a field free of urban noise.

Her voice is like the sunlight that bathes you with warmth on a cold post-Christmas morning; like the scratch the needle makes on a record; and like a faded polaroid picture that smells of a ghostless past.
