Man Without Country is an electronic act I discovered through one of my favorite local drummers whose taste I completely trust. Their four-track EP, Entropy Pt. 1, is a convergence of synthesizers and shoegaze complement each other, evident in their musical style. There are rough edges, but one cannot expect perfection from the sounds derive from space. The textures also vary from ambient to alternative. It opens with a grand number and closes with a somber, reflective arrangement.
Listen to “Deadsea” and “Catfish”.
